Spectrasol Applications

Sample Type: Reduction of ICP-MS
ArCl+Interference

|
Preparation: |
Transfer 2 to 5 mls of an acid digested sample to a plastic tube.
Add 2 mls of 200 ng/mL Ge and 2 mls Spectrasol CFA-C (1+1).
Dilute to 10 mls with water.
|
Results: |
Comparison of detection limits (pg/mL) for As and Se isotopes
with and without the use of the Spectrasol CFA-C tertiary amines
reagent. |

Discussion: |
Comparisons were done with an intermediate gas flow rate of 0.80
L/min, a nebulizer flow rate of 0.94 - 0.97 L/min and power of
1000 Watts. The 75As and 77Se isotopes which are most affected by ArCl+ exhibit the greatest signal enhancement.
